fwiw....... I didn't mean to say my body is void of hormones! :) makes me laugh thinking about that!!!! :) I just meant to say my hormones have "flat lined" as my doctor says. I was tested about a year ago just to confirm I am absolutely post-menopausal.
I talked to doc once about it - she said "yes, its really tough for women our age". She's not a fan of HRT - neither am I. I'd prefer to let mother nature do her thing. I just need a boost in the sexy department...........

:) well, hubby and I have watched "those" movies a few times........... I have always requested that they at least have some kind of story line - not just .......... well, you know. THAT stuff! I guess I was just SHOCKED at the website! I'm not real comfortable with that sort of thing. Maybe I will try some books. I need to do something............ pour hubby!!! I think I could just totally live without - not hubby, he's still raring to go at the slightest hint! UGH! If there is anything I ABSOLUTELY HATE about menopause its this. I feel DEAD in the libido department - and honestly, I MISS that part of myself! ITS JUST NOT FAIR!
Okay - on to other things..........
I have been thinking about my successes over this past year of changing my diet and being more active. I'm will try to list the things that I feel good about:
1. Eating this way has removed fibromyalgia from my life!
2. I've learned to love vegetables, not just choke them down!
3. Food no longer controls me!
4. I have become more active - walking, biking, hiking. Things I wasn't able to do when fibro ruled.
5. I'm losing weight when I absolutely couldn't on a SAD.
6. I have energy!!!
7. My mind is clear
8. I'm sleeping much better
9. I'm more in tune with my body - and can recognize when food or "drinks" do not set well.
10. I know I will eat this way for the rest of my life!
11. I no longer crave anything made from grains (except for the occassional cookie craving)
12. I've learned to be a better cook.
13. I'm learning to love my body again - not hate it because being sick all the time severely limited my life.
I think those are good things! :) I'm trying to focus on the good things in my life - my gains and successes - and learn from but not focus on my pitfalls and failures.
anyway.......... I'm off to Lowes to see if they have the 1/4 round needed to do some remodeling thats going on in my livingroom! :)
One author I like is Nora Roberts. Her later stuff more than her earlier works. Really good stories with just the right amount of fantasizing thrown in with no talk of hard throbbing members!

Should be able to get both at used bookstore. Both authors have good story lines and just enough detail in the romance parts.
The only other suggestion (I'm in the same boat), is I've explained to DH that it takes me a bit to start the motor and that women are more mentally stimulated versus visual. So a bubble bath, back or foot rub, watching a chick flick, writing me a love note all go a long way to getting me to the starting point. Hope the suggestions help.
