Dessert: I sort of went a tiny bit overboard last night. Wednesday nights are my small group nights and I'm about the only person there who's Primal/Paleo. Let's see, I think my total for big marshmallows was about 5 and a handful of small marshmallows. Some hot chocolate with a few pieces of chocolate plopped in. One pirouette, vanilla, and one half slice of banana nut bread.
Drinks: Hot chocolate, barely sweetened iced tea, and water
Workout: 15 & 15 push ups, 50 & 50 air squats, 1:20 & 1:20 plank, 30 & 30 calf raises, 20 & 20 supermans, 8A & 8A pull ups, 6A & 6A chin ups. Walked the dog for about 1/2 mile. Played some jai alai with Gabi before cooking dinner.
It was nice to be at group last night and have the discussion that we did. It's also good to know that when I tell some of my friends something, they don't make a huge deal about it even if I don't say anything. I have a feeling life is going to be a tad bit stressful this month with work and home. I'm thinking I need to make sure I get plenty of walks or hikes in to sort of keep myself calm through all of it. However, I'm so ready to see my brother and his family next month! Round Rock, Texas, here we come!
Sounds like you need to bring your own snacks to small group. ;) Glad the discussion did you good though.
I try to eat enough to fill up before group, but sometimes I don't have time. When it's my week to provide snacks I make what I can eat.

S: Not sure why I did this, but I ate one of the cookies someone had at work. I did it again today. The guys bring this stuff in from time to time. I just need to remember to stop and think about it before it happens. Some pecan pieces.
D: Grandma Barbara's Stuffed Mushrooms from Practical Paleo. GOOD stuff! I ate about 6 of them and some extra scoops of the filling.
Drinks: Water and some chai from Starbucks. It was hot chai with no sugar.
Exercise: I didn't workout yesterday at all. My body wanted to sleep in an hour so I slept in.
I went to Starbucks while Gabi was doing her Civil Air Patrol thing. I brough along stuff to make more beach type Christmas ornaments. She got to play some survival games, but it didn't turn out too well for her because she ran into something last night. All the boys were appearently following her when they were only supposed to be paired off. She got frustrated at that since they weren't following orders, but there's not much she can do about it since she's the lowest ranking one there. Poor kid. I think maybe she and I should work on some of this stuff on our own time so she can have a little better idea. Not that I'm any better than the older cadets who know what they are doing, but it could be fun.
Uh oh! I've missed the past two days even though I probably had time to type in here. I'm going to try to remember what I had the past few days, but I know I'll miss something. If I remember it later then I will come back and add it in.
Friday the 30th

Saturday the 1st
S: Leftover lamb meatballs
L: Applebees bacon burger sans bun, one slice of tomato, the pickles, and some steamed veggies. I had some mayo, but I'm not doing that again! There's a reason why I like it homemade now and they reminded me.
D: Jason's Deli Chicago Club with baked chips (headsmack, not doing that again either) with no bread
Drinks: Water and unsweetened iced tea
Exericse: 1 set each of 15 push ups, 50 air squats, 1:00 plank, 30 calf raises, 20 supermans, 8 assisted pull ups, 6 assisted chin ups. Walking around and getting some shopping done after lunch. I felt bad for my friend because I made us walk to the one store she needed to go to after lunch. She can't walk for too long before her chins start hurting her. However, the shops were right behind where we ate and I wanted to walk a little bit.

Yesterday the 2nd
No breakfast, but I did brew up some of that cocoa drink! Okay, I can't have heavy whipping cream in there without the upset tummy. I'll be skipping that in the future. The drink is pretty darn yummy though. I did also make some chai using steamed milk while I was working the youth cafe at church. Someone wanted some hot milk in their chai and I had to make quite a bit to get it steamed, so I just used the leftover stuff. It was whole milk. I liked it, but I think I might use coconut milk the next time I do that.
L: Way to many corn tortilla chips (one is too many, shouldn't have sat there on an empty stomach) with salsa and a few dips into the queso someone ordered. Fajita salad with beef. Ate about 1/4 of it since I filled up on chips. I also dipped into some sour cream and guacomole.
S: two of the little chocolates from our Advent Calenders....
D: Mom's beef short ribs and some sweet tater fries and about 1/2 of Gabi's latke. Klondike bar.

I opted to take a nap in the middle of the day because my body was worn out and I'm sure that eating all those corn tortilla chips didn't help me out much. I did get some more decorating done in the apartment for Christmas. I think I should be done by Tuesday, with everything not being used put away where it belongs.
Yesterday started off good, ended not so great food wise. I did finally finish the decorations in the living room. The front door has the wreath hung and the lights are on the front porch. I've got one last thing to do and we're done complete with decorations!

D: I ate the last of Mom's Thanksgiving stuffing that was in the fridge. The down side to this is that she used blue corn meal. It had rice in it and I eat that sometimes. The upside is that I was so stuffed from that that I had no room for anything else. I didn't eat again until this morning and had a light breakfast because I was still full.
Drinks: Brewed chocolate drink! That stuff is pretty darn tasty with a tad bit of maple syrup (about one capful) and some vanilla. I threw a cinnamon stick in there to add some extra flavor and learned something about that. Making cinnamon bark tea is pretty tasty stuff. I don't need a sweetener because it's already sweet from the stick. I think I refilled my mug a few times with that. I made it again today.

Oh yeah, I was inspired by a friend of mine to build my own Advent Wreath. I'll post a picture later for any one that would like to try this idea. I took some glass tea bottles and wrapped them with Gabi's painting paper and glueing it to the glass. I tied them with hemp yarn (or whatever it's called) after applying more glue to the paper to hold it. I had bought some sea stars from Hobby Lobby and glued one large one between where the two yarns had been tied. Then I put one on either side over the top yarn knot and the bottom yarn knot. I took some colored glitter glue and traced the inside line of the sea stars. Then I filled each bottle with sand and rocks (whatever I had on hand) till about 3/4's full. I placed a candle in each one of them and then used some fake pine tree stuff from H.L. and lined it up across the top of the TV since I still have an old analog TV.

During the middle of the day yesterday I realized that I was supposed to have a pink candle for the four candles. I have one in my apartment somewhere. When I find it then I will replace it. I'm going to use a larger glass bottle for the white candle.
Yesterday was a lovely day here. My job almost gave me a stress headache, but that's almost an exxageration. I was just frustrated at something.
