I haven't tried it later in the day yet. Except when I decided to eat all those blueberry things and the occasional watermelon.
She told me she doesn't want people picking on her about lunch, but she's been out of school for over a week now. So, I told her not to sweat that for now. I think I am going to back off, but I'm not going to allow the stuff in our house that she shouldn't have with the exception of what she's already hid from me so she can finish that stuff off. As creative as she is, I think she can come up with some stuff on her own.
I keep thinking that I loathed the fact that she didn't like pizza or bread that much when she was a kid and how I tried to get her to eat the stuff. It's like trying to undo the stuff I convinced her that was good for her. We've always had fruits and veggies in the house, so that part isn't an issue for the kid.
Yesterday was just another "day" in our house. It's just one of those that breaks my heart and makes me upset about certain things. Then I remember I have no control over them and I've got to be strong for my kid so she can come to me. What can a woman do?
I did try some stuff from the cookbook. The eggplant dish and pork chops. Both were pretty darn good! Today wasn't so great with the foods since my new boss bought us lunch and the lunch special didn't come with traditional wings, but the boneless ones. I didn't find this out until after we had already placed our orders. Oh well, note to self not to do that again!
B: 4 pcs bacon and 2 fried eggs
S: Avocado and pork rinds
L: Leftover burger meat and salad
S: Cashews roasted in butter
D: 1/2 pork chop with apple slices and shallots, then stuffed eggplant boat things.

Today I didn't workout, with the exception of playing with the soccer ball with Gabi for a bit. I was tired from so much stuff yesterday evening.
S: avocado and pork rinds
L: BWW parmesan garlic wings and fries and ranch (believe me when I say this, my belly is slightly upset with me right now)
S: Applegate farms Black Forrest Ham sliced
D: Chicken piccata (yeap, this is in the cookbook too) and some steamed zucchini
Dessert: Probably 2 cups of cherries.
Some days are just rough. Hang in there.
Today has been much better, work and home wise. I'm a little anxious about tomorrow morning because I have to square away something that I thought was out of my control, once again. I just need some prayers to be at peace and calm, to think clearly and move forward wisely.
I almost made it through the day with no extra sugar, other than what happens in my food. Almost. Ok, I think fruits are just hard all the way around for me right now. This is kind of a bummer because I like my fruit, especially watermelon on the occasion. I had some tonight. I bought this big organic one and it cost me quite a bit more than the ones I usually buy. Oh, it's so delicious! It's the perfect amount of sweetness! I did try the Coconut Secret Chocolate Mint. Hmmmm, good stuff. Also, for the first time today, I bought dates! I bought some with shredded coconuts. Yummy! Okay, I also bought them to use in a few recipes from the new cookbook. Wow, they aren't that overly sweet. So, it's just enough to get by on. I bought like three different kinds....
B: 4 pcs bacon and sour cream eggs! I sauteed up some mushrooms and leeks (also another first time use) to go in the eggs.
L: Leftover Paleo Chicken Piccata, zucchini, and salad with homemade dressing
S: Uhm, I think I might have had like 2 servings of cashews with butter
D: Scallop Scampi with bacon bits. Yes, yes that is pretty dang good. Watermelon!

I'm doing assisted push ups right now because I need to work on form. My form is getting sloppy and that doesn't do my body any good. That's all for tonight.
I made Breakfast Paleo Pizza this evening so that I have it ready in the morning. Hmm, snacked on some sausage and black olives in the process....I forgot to add the 2 dates I ate earlier this evening. I'll post a picture of the pizza tomorrow morning. It's quite possible that Gabi might start eating eggs again when cooked like this. If so, I have no problem making this stuff.
Well?? How did she like it?
Well, I had to go to the Justice of the Peace this morning and I figured she'd just have some while I was gone. She waited till I got back home. We'll see how it goes. I loved it! Oh man, those date things are good!
She says it's okay. Of course, she didn't heat it up!
