The Snow Ninja struck again this morning with a couple miles in the cold.
I'm okay with snow - it can be a lot of fun...
But pretty much anything below 20° and I'm not liking it so much.
Although it is pretty much the only reason for me to be a ninja...
Also... I didn't really have to worry about snakes...
Got hit by the flu pretty badly last week...
Horrible timing for work and for working out.
I did get a great 10 miler in Tuesday morning, then Wednesday I started feeling crappy. Yesterday I made myself get out and got a nice long 9 mile run in that took forever because of the crazy conditions... melty slushy snow and a nasty inversion that was amazing to get above.
Anyways - I'm getting tired of the snow and cold. I want to wear less when I work out. :p
Speaking of that - here is an update - just over one year into Primal - this was just under a week ago:
I've thoroughly enjoyed Snow Ninjaing around - but I'm ready for change! For Heat! for SUN! and HEALTH!
Oh and speaking of the Snow Ninja - there are now signs warning that he's been seen on roadways.

Yes, time for health and wellness!! I'm sick of the sickies! If it would work to fake illness just so I could get out of doing all the housework, meal, etc. on my own (on top of snuggling/medicating/catering to every whim of the ill ones, RIGHT NOW), I'd totally do it at this point. Unfortunately for me, moms don't ever get to do that.
Oh, and it's about time they put up signs. Snow ninjas are dangerous!

Thanks! I could probably use a bit more focus on LIFTING HEAVY THINGS with my leg area - but they are developing nicely with the hill running!
Just remember to lift with the legs when you are shoveling :D. Digging a tire out of the snow might be a good interactive workout, if you still have a lot in the yard.
Is the smog a result of excessive pollution, just the way it collects due to the mountains/inversion, or a combination of both? Boston doesn't really have much smog, as far as I know. When I went to the LA area a few years ago, that was the first time I'd seen anything like it.
Local Pollution doesn't help - but it isn't the source of most of the pollutants unfortunately! So it's a bit of a combination, but mostly the mountains/inversion.
Pollution floats in the upper parts of the sky from China into California (did you know that tons of CA's smog is pollution from CHINA?!) and then that's get pushed over Utah where it hits the Rocky Mountains and sinks into the valley - the ghost of [URL="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Bonneville"]Lake Bonneville[/URL].
