In addition to.
I oil pull, brush my teeth with vicco tooth paste (as opposed to vicco powder, which is just as good -- it's an ayurvedic toothpaste/powder) in the am. Dry-brush usually mid-day. floss and brush with tooth paste end of day.
Currently getting one professional cleaning per year; I'd like to move back to two. :D
Too woo woo for me.
I'd rather do this:

I tried it. I only managed 5 minutes... it made my jaw ache too much. ;)
Gah. I tried this once with coconut oil and gagged the whole 30 seconds. I even hate the term "oil pulling", it sounds awful.

I brush with Aquafresh in the am and swish with sesame oil in the pm. I would love to find some non-fluoride toothpaste up here. Have you found it?
Wow, I am really interested in this. I have had lots of issues with my teeth, mainly starting after my daughters were born. Cavities, gum surgery, etc. I will try this ASAP!
Picked up some organic sesame oil today at Whole Foods to give this a try ... I have a dental checkup coming up in March, so it will be interesting to see if there are any changes by then.
So is the consensus that coconut oil is NOT good for trying this? Because I don't have any sesame oil in my house...
