Time to update that signature of yours darlin! You may have missed last years goals but that doesn't mean you have to forget about new ones for this year! Lets make 2013 the year of better health and vitality!
2013 is going to be the best!
Day 2 of whole 30 and it feels like the first time I went paleo all over again. I know that I lost any ketogetic status over christmas but I've been eating a ton and not getting full! This morning is a perfect example. Finished a massive breakfast at 740 (massive as in part way through I wasn't sure if I should finish) and now 3 hours later and my stomach is gargling.... mmm... foooood!
Food journal for yesterday!
Breakfast- 3 eggs, 1 chicken leg and some guacamole
Lunch- Ribs and an apple
Supper- 3 eggs, 2 chicken legs, tomato with salt and olive oil, large handful of pisachios, large handful of brazil nuts, 1 mug of hot chicken stock
Post supper (at the pub)- 1 bottle of san palengrino sparkling water with lemon and lime
Had the weirdest of weird incidents yesterday. Get in my car, and the key won't turn in the ignition. Long story short I've got a CAA truck there 2 hours later and it turns out that the ignition was frozen, a bit of de-icer and I was back in business. Unfortunately I had to cancel all of my plans because I wasn't sure if I'd have a car or not. Fortunately I was able to make some new ones and I ended up at the pub with some old friends :)
So I had to restart my Whole30 yesterday. Went out Friday for dinner with friends... Who would have thought that a restaurant wouldn't even have a salad that was whole30 safe? Go figures- I even brought my own olive oil dressing! So I got wings (which were smoked then baked so they were Whole30 safe), but the side of seasonal veggies and collard greens were made with butter....darn me I couldnt resist. So I restarted yesterday.
Whole30 Day 1
Out for breakfast: 3 Basted eggs (cooked on the grill with water instead of oil), side of tomato, and a fruit bowl
Lunch- Handful of Brazil nuts and pistachios
Supper- Couple scoops of home made turkey liver and mushroom pate, 3 plain sheets of nori, half a red pepper
Dessert- Fugi apple with almond butter and cinnamon, more Brazil nuts.
Did a workout at the gym with my new gym buddy Friday,it's sunday and my arms still hurt...Feels good! Dodgeball Wednesday! So excited!
Mmm, hard to turn down butter, actually, I never do :) Good for you though - start over and keep your momentum up. I updated my goals for the near future anyway. Feeling so much better since I got back on track again. Sleeping better too. I am watching to see how you go - you are inspiring. Reading everyone else's journals helps me to keep on track. We are cheering for you from the sidelines Ecks!
Thanks Coll! I'm cheering for you too! It really is much easier to keep on track when you have a solid team of people around who are pushing for the same! :)
Whole30 Day 2
Breakfast- 3 Eggs, Roast beef
Lunch- Pistachios and some shrimp
Supper (at a friends' place)- 2 lamb chops, 2 chicken drum sticks, some broccoli, and gravy (and yes it was whole30 safe gravy... I love having paleo friends!)
Good luck on your W30, ecks! I've started a Whole 42 today, actually a 6 week Health Challenge at my CrossFit gym that's why it's a W4 instead of a W30 ;) .
42 days is intense! Are you guys allowed periodic weigh ins? Whole30 program specifies that I can't.
