I'll tell him to stop by Florida after he gets his sailboat all fixed up :) (Blogger: User Profile: Ben if you want to track his progress)
*sigh* I might be the only woman who's heart goes a little pitty-pat at the sight of carhartts. But for dressing up, you're right, classic is usually the way to go.
Ooh, I'll have to take a closer look for the pattern. I just started making hats, and socks will be on the list. I think I might know what my sister will be getting for Christmas . . . next year. I'll send the practice pair to you, Cori :D
VERY cool on the sail boat adventures!
And... did you know... Carhartt actually makes "dress-up" clothes.
That heavy brown cotton duck fabric into a jacket and flat cap.
I've seen some of the "tougher" types... big burly man welding trade dudes and stuff... wearing it with jeans and boots, and making it look pretty good before. LOL
And yes to socks! Practice socks too... imperfections among friends make them special. :D

The Carhartts look much better at the beginning of the day than at the end. However, the good thing about them at the end of the workday is that he's eager to get out of them.

Seen today within the glass case at the local bakery: a big chocolate cake reading HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SHMOOSHIE-BEAR!
I am so not a romantic panda. Where is your dignity?!?

There's a reason I'm the white sheep of the family :)
Burly welder-types dressed up in Carhartts? *swoon! thunk*
It'll be a bit yet before I'm ready to tackle socks, but as soon as I am . . .

I dunno, I kinda like the looks of men that, like, work. But I also like men that are manlier than I am ;) Wanting to get out of them, though, is a perk. *thoughtful pause*

Hmm.... I have a sneaky feeling that Debauchery might have had SOMETHING to do with this. ;)

It's not Debauchery's fault that Lady Friend is having a birthday!!!

Darn... I was hoping for a twizzler lassos story. *begins to mope away*
*perks up*
On the bright side... Lady Friend's birthday celebration would be much more EXCITING!!! if you let Debauchery take the reigns of the party planning.

Lady Friend's real name is Shmooshie-Bear?!? I thought you were trying to maintain annonimity here!
