This is just to say I LOVED 'Sigils'. I was rationing it out one chapter per night and then there was one wee bout of insomnia and SNA-A-A-A-R-FF done just like that.
The only problem is that "Cadie" was the character in "Mean Girls" so I now have "Mean Girls of Panem" type scenarios running through my head
honk*honk* "Get in, loser, we're going procuring!"
"A liver for Kalanthe, blood for Vastax, andnothingforDelhyth--bye!"
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm thrilled that you enjoyed the first volume of The Sigils!!!!!!!! While I was writing it, I had nightmares that Kalanthe was chasing me around and trying to steal my soul.
I've never seen Mean Girls, so I looked it up on Netflix and I'm Instant Streaming it right now!

Debauchery made a quick trip up to Canada and dragged me into eating not one, but TWO pieces of gluten-free angel food cake with whipped cream and saskatoon berries on Saturday night along with a piece of fudge and multiple glasses of mead. Panda, you and R&R really need to hide her passport.

While she was in Canada she also paid me a visit.

Someone should report her to border services. With the doughnut tutu and the tin foil Oscar, she shouldn't be that hard to identify.
-
I talk to a customs lady at the US-Canada border occasionally regarding work, I'll ask if she's seen any fairy-types come through.
-
Nope, she flew the coop and came down to TX. Damages: 1 cherry turnover, a cubic ton of Rice Krispies treat, and french bread.

November 5th - Inspirational Moments
I effortlessly reach my goals.
GAY PANDA: What the hell? What kind of an affirmation is that?!
REMORSE: I think it’s a visualization exercise, not an affirmation.
GAY PANDA: But it’s listed here under affirmations.
DEBAUCHERY: EATING MY WAY OUT OF THIS DOUGHNUT WOULD BE EFFORTLESS!!! SEE???
REMORSE: Oh dear. Resolve is taping her mouth shut. It’s just supposed to be motivational, Panda. You aren’t supposed to look at it that deeply.
GAY PANDA: But it’s ridiculous. If I effortlessly reached my goals, this journal would never have needed to exist to start with!
REMORSE: And you just ended a sentence with with.
DEBAUCHERY: MMM-MMM-MMMUUUTTTTHHHRRMMMMM!!!
REMORSE: I know. It’s shocking.
RESOLVE: Ground yourself, Panda. Close your eyes and feel your roots extend to the very center of the earth, connecting you to one and all through the vibrations of our souls, and say I effortlessly reach my goals.
GAY PANDA: Weight loss is not effortless. Hating hippie affirmations is.
