This is the best answer I can find though I cant admit to completely understanding the science. I would love to know if this is correct or not.

Warmbear- this is great info!
But after reading this I really wonder Why are we even eating vegetables? It sounds like they are hard on our human digestive system. Should we even eat them?? Are the necessary?
Good question. I dont know.
Pretty interesting article here:

I like eating vegetables, so I'm going to continue.
Though, it's interesting. since i read the article (linked), I have been watching my bowels most closely (practically as much as your average vegan! lol i kid!). and it's interesting because I haven't had gas for days and days. . . which would mean that not much is rotting in my intestines.
An interesting article about our ability to digest meat. - Can Humans Digest Meat? | Roar of Wolverine
Zoebird, then are you not eating veg?
I have to eat next to none to not have gas :-(
I only go twice a week. Sometimes I wonder if it is going to hurt like crazy (ie I'm constipated) but no, no issues whatsoever.
This is interesting. Any time I eat a lot of veggies, I tend to have really loose stools. Maybe I should try just meat for awhile and see how it goes.
Opposite. I eat a lot of veg. Lots and lots and lots (by volume). Most of my meal is veg (by volume). Most of my calories, of course, are fat, then protein, then carbohydrate.
Today, I had 1/3 of two large heads of broccoli (steamed -- about 3-cups worth) and roasted chicken, two brazil nuts, and 5 m&ms (with my son -- we do candy treat on weekends). This evening, I'm going to have three eggs fried in butter and probably about 5 cups of salad (all kinds of mixed veggies).
but, according to the article, if your gut flora is in good shape, you won't have any issue with the rotting.

R u NOT eating plant foods?
From what I have read as long as you eat high fat you should be fine with little to even no plant foods.
I have not been brave enough to try, but this post is kind if encouraging.
