When you give up on dating because all the women you know insist on going to restaurants instead of having bacon and eggs at your place.
+1
I was a bit like this before Primal, I cook better than any restaurant i have ever been to save a few (Mortons , Ruth Chris, Flemmings, and Blackstone are on this list )
Now it is simply non negotiable. <shrug>

Really? I have yet to meet anyone - male or female - who doesn't go for good home cooking, and who also doesn't see the economic logic in not eating out all the time.

Right, but I would not go to a guy's home on the first date unless I already knew him fairly well.

When the scene in Game of Thrones (both book and tv) where Dany ritualistically eats the raw heart to help her unborn son makes you wonder where in the freezer you hid the beef heart.

I did this on a business trip the other day. All they had provided were sandwiches, so I just didn't eat. My boss kept asking if I was OK, and was clearly bemused as to how I was still alive at 6pm.

Agreed. He might be an amazing cook, but I want to be sure he's not a serial killer, first. :P

Yep. Even if he's a perfectly nice guy, a lot of guys assume that going to his home means you're willing to up the level of physicality in the relationship. If it was early days and I wasn't at that point, I preferred to not lead a guy on.
On the bright side. I was a pretty cheap date and I took turns paying.

This.
Although I will admit to driving down 13 miles of dirt road out in the middle of nowhere to a guy's house for a 2nd date, just once. There were literally no other houses for miles. The first date was a blind date too, so I barely knew him. Probably not smart.
I will justify my risky behavior by saying... I knew the steak was going to be incredibly fresh and filled with awesoneness because he had raised and slaughtered the cow himself.

So you knew that he was intimate with the intricacies of butchery and still you decided to go? Oh great natural selection, I found your next victim.
