My throat feels almost normal today.
There are two now cooked chickens who will be removed from the crockpot and shredded. Debating whether I'm going to just put the bones back in the juice, or drain off the juice and do a new batch with the bones.
Opinions?

I throw mine back in the juice. I figure it already has chicken flavor in it and fat in it,so it'll add to the flavor.

Yup. What the smart lady said.

I also chuck in the organs, skin and anything else we won't eat.

I cleared out most of the stuff that was in the pot, but left about an inch of liquid with all the garlic and carrots in it in the bottom of the crockpot. Dumped the bones in, added a bit more ACV, garlic, and onion, then covered it with hot water and turned the crockpot back on low. I'll probably reset it tonight before bed (it turns off after 14 hours), then strain it all out tomorrow and have more deliciousness.

Holy crap this stuff is delicious. I should toss chardonnay into the crock pot more often! :p

I'm going to make a batch of beef bone broth this weekend. Some red wine wouldn't be a bad idea...

I plan to email the people who bring grass-fed beef to the farmer's market and see if I can get them to bring some bones for me. Last time, I got there at 9:05, when they opened at 9:00. They were already out.

I'm going to the butcher this weekend and they always have bones for sale in the freezer. My MIL asked me to make her a batch of broth too.

Hubby decided to be a sweetheart and bring me back a DP from his parents' house last night. 3 sips, and my stomach already started revolting.
