Whew, what a tough Fast Day! I was super hungry all day, felt hollow headed and sleepy. I made it to dinner. I had chicken, a salad with OO & V, and avocado. And coffee with heavy cream.
I feel much better now.
So glad tomorrow is Friday. We have to super clean the house this weekend. Bill is getting his parents from his brother in Boston on Wednesday. The weekend has turned rainy here, so we are going to pass on the yard sale. Hopefully, they will do one later this summer.
Tired. I could go to bed right now. Yawn.

Congrats on getting through a rough fast day. Some are easier than others. But if you are tired that makes if harder. Going to bed early is an excellent strategy.
Friday Report: 5:2 week 1
Wt. 217.3 down 6.1 from 223.4. +1.5 from NK low and new weight loss.
So Far, It seems to me that I can lose as well on this plan as on a full NK plan. I eat for NK on my Fast Days because I don't want to spike my insulin with too many carbs after 22+ hrs without food. My NK low weight was 215.8 on 4/22.
Hormonally, I know that this program will be better for me. I am a 45 yr old perimenopausal woman. Many experts agree that the key to weight loss for a woman at this time of life is getting enough safe carbs, but not too many. 75-100g is recommended by both Ross and Schwarzbein. 5 days/week, I will be hitting that target. Hopefully, correcting hormonal imbalances will help with binging. Ross says yes.
On my Up days, I am aiming for at least 2000 cals, 75-100c, 75-100p, 125-135f. This works out to regular Primal for weight loss as recommended in the PB. I feel as if I have come full circle. lol
Finally, This morning I had rice cereal and almond milk as part of my breakfast. It felt decadent.

Yeah, I am on the side of the Perfect Health Diet where rice is concerned. I think that I can use it once in a while as a safe starch.
Does anyone have any experience with Al Kavadlo's exercise regimen? I know that he was part of the Convict Conditioning group, but has now put out 2 books of his own. I like the CC idea of progressions on 6 exercises.
If I go the way of Convict Conditioning, my husband might give me crap because he is a prison RN and deals with these guys on a daily basis. Silly, I know.
