I am dropping the binge bloat like crazy. I have only been doing this new plan for 6 days and I am down 10+lbs.
I was actually considering doing a week of hflc after this and then switching back and forth between the two programs. I think I'll just wait. If I can still lose weight just as well on this plan, then why make things tougher.
Dairy is fun to eat/drink, but my face is broken out in small pimples grrrr. I will be dropping it eventually.
Band practice was awesome yesterday. I feel so cool!
Today is May Day at my HS. All the female seniors and faculty dress up. I am wearing the same dress as last year. Indian print aqua, black and white. There is a pic in the journal around this time last year if you want to look it up.
We have a shortened school day and then a choice of two events. I am missing the ceremony this year to participate in the alternate DWI presentation. I am acting as a grieving parent whose child dies in an accident.
This weekend, my older sons are in their Drama Club's annual short play fest. My eldest wrote one, but is also acting. My middle guy is acting as well. Finally, my Kevin will turn 9 on Saturday so BD party stuff coming up too.

Congrats on the loss, and yes I totally agree, don't change a thing as long as it is working.
p.s. I had some trouble with small pimples on my chin a while back and could not get rid of them. I finally used neosporin over night a couple of nights in a row and they were gone. I think it was hormonal as I eat more dairy now than I was then.
Funny you mentioned the cycling of HCLF/current plan. I was wondering if something like that would work for you. Of course, if things are going well (especially in the binge department), no use changing. Wondering if HCLF would be beneficial at a particular point in your cycle?
Chris, I think the breakout may be hormonal. I just finished my period.
Ruth, I was thinking that the week right after my period when hormones are leveling and I feel strongest against the binge would be the best time for that.
It sounds like the binging is getting under control and your losing again. It sounds like we are doing something similar- funny I was thinking about popping in the occasional lcHF days
Karin, I thought maybe 3 to 4 lchf in a row, then back to 100g carbs.
I would think that as long as one is mindful of calories, changing the makeup won't hurt. However, one should just be mindful of the potential water gain of reintroducing carbs after several low carb days.
I am only up to page 10 of 200+ of your journey so far. I'm riveted!
