Ketones as fuel
So in Robb Wolfs book he makes the claim that some tissue operates better on ketones rather than glucose: the heart, kidneys, and intestines. He doesn't go on to elaborate on what this means.
Does anyone know specifically why these tissues are better adapted to running on ketones?

I'm not sure but he is probably talking about the whole Krebs cycle, Beta oxidation, and the cellular biology. These are fascinating subjects.
After doing some research it seems that the use of fatty acids is what is preferred by the heart. Looks like this is another area to do some heavy investigation into.
