Oooh, poor kid. Okay, I take back what I said earlier. Nobody else needs to get injured! Glad to hear that the concussion is just mild, she should be back to her normal self quickly. Jersey #13?? Hmmm
Once again, how YOU doing?
She PICKED the #!
I'm OK. I was worried while I was in London reading her texts, but I'm better now.
No wine tonight, but there was chocolate while I was working.
Yeesh, that's your 3 - it seems in medicine we see things in 3s, so you are done for a bit!
I surely hope so!
Daughter went on a school trip to the ROM
I pretended to clean house today, but this fantasy book about dragons kept using it's magic to pull me into it's clutches.
I swear, I'd be folding clothes and the next thing I knew, I was reading again :)
Lunch was a 2 egg frittata with carrots, red pepper, green onion, and feta, with 3 olives on the side.
Somehow (while I was reading) I ate the 2nd yucky Aero bar.
College Son's friend came to the door, the Butterflies got excited and Josie turned and attacked Lily. We grabbed Josie, lifting her up but neither of them would let go. We finally separated them and I got Josie "Easy" (a training tool - getting her to control herself) No one was bit separating them - that's usually when it happens.
Supper was a Band Banquet for Daughter at the school. Daughter's bus from the ROM arrived at the school just at the end of the meal. BBQ burgers (I tossed the bun) Caesar salad, baked potato with sour cream and cheese and chives. (I skipped the Greek pasta salad, cake and cookies)
At the banquet a lady wearing dark sunglasses was complaining about how bad the pollen was, that was why she had to wear the sunglasses. I commented that I hadn't noticed anything yet this year (pre PB I used to be a horrible chocolate mess with seasonal allergies)
Daughter said her head ached at the banquet, so we came home early (7:30) She went right to bed.
Most of my evening was spent reading the fantasy book and getting caught up with Gay Panda's thread! It exploded today!
It's only 10:40, but I think I might go to bed.
Daughter and Farmer are already asleep.
Good guess :)
I finished "Black Powder War" (the 3rd Temeraire book) last week.
This one is called "Dragon Bones" by Patricia Briggs.
Not as good. The typos yank me out of the fantasy...
But it's still good enough to "magic" me away from housework.
I'm working my way through Temeraire too, but it's so spread out, I don't even remember if I've read three or four. If "Black Powder War" takes place mainly in Africa, I've read three, because that's where I finished. I have the next waiting for me, along with a shelf full of other books... I've been negligent.

I finished Dragon Bones and just downloaded book 4 "Empire of Ivory" from the library.
I didn't read anything while I was working on my ESL AQ, so I'm making up for it now :)
It's been cold and rainy all day.
And I've had a headache all day.
