I have had a weight problem since after my dad died when I was 7. I began "emotional eating."
I have been as small as 135 pounds and a size 3 (freshman year of high school, doing Nutri System)
and up to a 278, a size 28 jeans (about 2 months ago). My lowest since my early 20's is 206.
I had gestational diabetes with my last pregnancy, and randomly would check my blood sugars. The day I checked and had a fasting blood sugar of 157 was the day I decided to do low carb. I bought LeAnne Ely's "Saving Dinner the Low Carb Way," and found out she is into Paleo. I had never heard of Paleo, so I decided to check it out. I attended the Paleo Summitt, and found out about Mark. I bought the 21-day book for my Kindle, and started finding out as much as I could about Paleo. I am now doing whatever I can to become a healthy mom for my boys. I want to set a good example, and hopefully help them avoid obesity.
