I don't really pay attention to the eating-at-certain-times part of a Whole30, I just consider a Whole30 strict paleo for the month in terms of food, and do whatever I want in terms of when I eat and exercising etc. I think it's mostly a tool for people who are just starting out, so I continue to support it even if I'm just taking 30 days to get back on track in whatever way makes the most sense to me.
I thought about doing the Whole30, but reading through some of the comments/posts by the participants and the moderator, I think there are just too many things that are not-primal. For instance, pre-workout snacks, eating at certain times instead of when hungry, etc.
