You gained 20 lbs on Primal?! That's rough - and not exactly the news I wanted to hear. : )
We have a woman in the ward who tried to have non-wheat bread for sacrament, but she tells me that they'd forget about it, or that someone else would eat it before it got to her, etc. I don't think she's a celiac, but she certainly has gluten issues and lives gluten free. I'm not at that point, but between Primal, Wheat Belly, and Hashimoto's, it seems like a good idea to avoid gluten, but I think a bit on Sunday won't ruin the rest of the week for me.
I've been reading 'Wheat Belly' and really getting serious about eliminating it from my diet, but I wonder about taking the Sacrament. Do you? It's such a little bit, but by little bits we are lost sometimes.
Also, maybe I've missed it, but how long did it take you to get to your current weight and did you do 80/20 or were you more intense?

The can I am using says original on the label. That solid melts like coconut oil so I am thinking I am getting less fat when I just drink the milk. I know at room temperature they mix fine though. The solid is a bit too hard when refrigerated to be cream I think. I do agree it tastes good but them I think coconut oil tastes good :) Thanks for your help.
You had mentioned that you use the Native Forest Coconut milk and I had a question. Is the solid part coconut oil?? It really does not break up and mix like cream and is in fact solid like coconut oil when refrigerated. The milk pours great but have not noticed solids like this in other coconut milk.

Wow, I am sorry you have to even debate it. Why does your friend think it goes against the word of wisdom? There is nothing that says you HAVE TO eat all the things is says. I always thought it was more about what to avoid anyway.... and that list would have been a lot longer if it had been written now days. It is not likeyou are zero carb. I bet you eat cleaner, closer to the earth, and more veggies than most of your friends from church.
What if you said that it is fact that sugar (and anything that metabolises like sugar) is a stimulant and addicting? You don't want to be an addict.....
