Former fit and muscular soccer player, turned depressed and lethargic 40-pounds-too-heavy girl in the first year of university! Boy was that a shock to the system! Goodbye mom's fresh meat-and veggies style cooking, hello disgusting cafeteria food with a salad bar consisting of only Potato salad and bean salad.
After struggling for 3 years to take off the 40 pounds I gained in that year, I discovered Mark Sisson and this lifestyle. Definitely an "aha" moment to say the least. I have literally just started, so I'm still making little mistakes here and there, but so far I am feeling amazing and see this as the only way I will live 'til the end of my days! It's quite a revelation, I think :)
