Just think guys... survival of the fittest. It all works out in the end. They'll get their just desserts.

And I am insisting in the proper diet for both mother and child! NOT to the point of militant reactionary haranguing (Karlin, cut me some slack! Wink wink!)

If only they knew how militant you really are!

Yeah well my friend's bro is following the "caveman" diet as he calls it and even has a "guru" that he follows. He basically eats meats and nuts and maybe some vegetables. No grains. And he doesn't believe in gyms, he believes only in "natural" exercise such as running and walking outside. Sorry dude, but I am not giving up my treadmill in the winter.

              GURU!!!!

                Raphael,

I think there's something to be said for ancient civilizations either living mainly in warmer locations, OR being nomadic (i.e. moving out of a place where it gets cold when it starts to get cold).

Since we now live year-round in the same place (for me, it happens to be one of the coldest places in the lower 48), I think we can cut ourselves some slack on the exercise thing (I am NOT going for a run when its 40 below out, thanx).

                Subduction leads to orogeny

My blog that I don't update as often as I should: http://primalclimber.blogspot.com/

AmyMac703, what? No, what I posted was a quote from that website. I thought it was obvious enough... It wasn't me who said that.
