  • Coconut Oil @ Dekalb Farmer's Market near Atlanta

Just a note to any Primal People in or close to Atlanta:

I went to the Dekalb Farmer's Market in Decatur. Right now they have Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil. Tall tubs for $5.99 and Large tubs for $10.99.

The tall tubs are like double the size usually sold in store and the Large tubs were twice that size. I cooked with it tonight. Great stuff, definitely better than anything I've purchased in a grocery store. I'm picking up some more on the way home next week.

Thanks for the heads-up fury. I got some last I went to the Deklab Farmer's Market after cillakat mentioned it. It is definitely most delicious and the price is unbelievable. I think it's Nutiva brand, but packaged in Deklab Farmer's Market tubs.

I had never seen it there before. I haven't kept up with this forum too much until this week so if it's a repost my bad!

I've never had the Nutiva brand before. I liked it better than the other brands I've used flavor-wise anyway.

EDIT: Yes the price is unbelievable!! I though maybe I was reading it wrong at first

Forget about going on the weekends though. It's a mad house.

                    Price Hike

They were out of the coconut oil a lot at Dekalb this summer. Finally in September my friend found me some but the price doubled.
                    The 32oz cup was $9.99

Still a great deal but man, I liked 64 oz for 11 better!

Was it a special price or did it look like a stock item?

When I got mine I think it was just the regular price. If by stock item you mean that it was in the YDFM "World Direct" packaging, then yes, it looks like a stock item.
