I just read the whole thing. Its moving, and sad. I acually feel the same sentiment for the Huaroni tribes in SA. They are being suffocated, sickened and killed by the lovely people of Exxon Mobil. Yet another reason we need to stop our strong reliance on oil. Sad sad sad.

Life on Earth may be punishing, but it includes an annual free trip around the sun!

        Fucking tragic.

A couple quotes jumped out at me:

"He smiled warmly, revealing surprisingly well-kept teeth."

        Not surprising at all, actually.

"You are welcome here. But please tell your people how things are for the Hadzabe. Please do not add things and please do not take things away. Please just tell the world that we are dying."

"Do not add things and do not take things away" - that's exactly how we should be living on this planet. I think that could actually supplant the Golden Rule and we'd be doing great.
