So, as you all know, my physician husband and I couldn't agree when it came to eating Primal. But he is slowly warming up to the idea while remaining vegetarian. So far, so good. He thinks fats may not be bad after all. HOWEVER, he says if your cholesterol metabolism is out of whack, ie, if you have cholesterol issues, then eating fats will aggravate it. Of all people, I want my mother to try PB the most. She has high cholesterol and is taking statins. So according to my husband, since she already has high cholesterol, she won't benefit from PB or that her condition will be aggravated. He says he'll believe whatever I say if a large randomized and controlled study has been done to prove what I say.
Both of us sat together and went through PubMed and I entered some names from GCBC's references, but the number of subjects the studies were conducted on were too small according to him.
