    This has been said for a long time. Chocolate milk is especially touted (for the extra carbs of course.) Runners swear by it.

    Whey is still very popular as a recovery food. I used to drink protein shakes made with milk after my morning run. Can't really tell ya if it did any good or not.

      I do drink milk after working out. It seems like a reasonable thing to do. After long distances, e.g. half marathon I have done chocolate milk.
      There is a coffee house to the gym I work out in. I often get a latte.
