      • Thanks, Sungrazer. Overnight treatment with (refined and unscented!) coconut oil does the hair good.

          Hehe - yeah, don't you know it! I would have used it in my hair too if it weren't for the fact that I am bald I use it on my skin though.

                    Mouse, you look amazing! Your skin and hair look good! And the change in your body is showing rapidly in your face.

                    I think for most people, the hard part is shaking the model we grew up with - learning to let go of the misconceptions. Fortunately, the proof is in the pictures, and the feeling as we move about our day-to-day lives. That makes for a mighty motivator, doesn't it?

                    Congratulations, and way to go! Are you going to do the Challenge this month?

                      Thanks - this website, the forum, and especially THE PEOPLE here are a huge motivator for me. I love reading the success stories, seeing the progress pics, trying the recipes, etc. My problem, though, is that I'm lazy. I'd rather sleep than do anything else! When the mood hits me to get moving I certainly will do something - like a couple nights ago I felt motivated enough to try doing some burpees. I managed 22 of them in 2 minutes and had to stop. I felt some new muscles talking to me the next day, but it wasn't too painful so it was a good feeling. I'll do more burpees today at some point, but not on a timer/counter. I'll just do them til I can't do any more. This is my own sort of challenge/pace since I don't feel I'm ready (physically) to participate in the official challenge yet.

                        • These are my 'before and during' pics. The last was taken in January. Unfortunately, I look abut the same right now as I did then. But, I am getting my tushie in gear and really working on getting rid of the last bit of body fat.

                            NutMeg, I can totally see a difference between the last two shots - your tummy is shrinking and so are your waist and back! And what a difference from the July 09 pic! Wow!!

                            • 41 lbs weightloss since May 2010

                              Here are some "in progress" pics...


                              The first picture was a couple of years back at my heaviest... 235lbs or so. The middle pic was when I weighed 217lbs (which was in the beginning of May 2010).

                              The last image in the series (@ 182 lbs) was taken late July 2010... so I've leaned out even more.

                              Still a work in progress, and currently as of September 5th I weigh around 176lbs... down 41 lbs since May.
