    • What I find so striking about these before and after photos is not just body shape, but the change in the face! Some people I think would be unrecognizable if I only knew them in the before pic, then saw them however many months later as the after pic.

      Just amazing.

            • hi all,
this is my first post on the forums. I've been paleo since December 2012. I don't have many before pictures due to my shoddy self image but now I can hardly go twenty minutes without checking myself out in a mirror or even a puddle. one thing paleo literature misses out on is how self indulgent it makes you :-)

one issue I've come across is that I keep having to re introduce myself when I bump into people who I met months ago but haven't seen since.

This is so true. I am unbelievably vain these days.

                  • 2 years and ~50 lbs gone! 1st year I cut back on sugar/junk food, 2nd year went Primal (August will be 1 full year).

First 2 pictures from summer of 2011 (no, I wasn't pregnant!). Next 3 from May 2013.

Let me see if I can figure out the photobucket way of getting pics on here....

                    • Stacy, wow. You look like a bazillion times better. You went from shapeless to vavavoom. You also seem to have gone from looking like you were what, late 40's to now, maybe mid to late 20's.

                          Thanks Magnolia!

Eating the right food dropped weight, but weight lifting has really shaped me. Pulled my waist right in. Add I love having a waist!

Late 40s - EEK! I'm in my late 30s. Funny how weight adds age. I think the same thing - that people look so much younger in their 'after' photos.

                              • I got serious about losing weight April 2012. I followed a link looking for meals without bread or pasta and ended up at MDA summer of 2012. I'm not obsessive about what I eat, but my diet has gotten more and more primal as old favorites just lose their appeal.

This is me at my high of 205 lbs in Sept 2011.

This is me this morning at 125 lbs. My 14yo DD told me I was not dressed appropriately for a 50yo mother about to go run errands. I had to send it to my younger sister because I knew she'd get a kick out of it and I thought, "Hey, it's an after pic!" Thank G*d for good food!
