great progress as far as I can tell. you've made the most important steps. as far as what mouse is saying, i'd agree that you should cut out the tofu and incorporate more meats and eggs. but great job so far.

    • Thanks for the reply. My goal is to replace tofu with meat as I can afford it (I already eat a tonne of eggs, like three a day). I've replaced soy milk with almond milk. Basically, I know what I'm doing "wrong," (even if Mouse is wrong about tofu being DELICIOUS) but it's not an issue of stubbornness, it's finances and culture. So.

Thanks a lot for the encouragement, I'll keep trying

Cheers to you--I can absolutely see some progress! Welcome and definitely don't feel bad about easing into it no matter what the reason. You should feel great about the changes you've made so far, it only gets better from here. Yay for you ;0)

You're not missing the point by not eating meat. Mark's wife manages just fine on fish and whey protein. Not all of our ancestors would've had access to red meat and game anyway. For some fish would've been the major, if not only source of animal food. I love tofu, but I don't eat it any more because it's pretty unhealthy stuff. I'm a devout onmivore, but it doesn't mean everyone has to be. Many people adapt the Primal principles around a vegetarian framework with success. You've made good changes so far, go ahead and enjoy the benefits. I think your progress in 2-4 weeks is fantastic. Imagine where you'll be in 6 months.

              • Even Mark has said that tofu is not so bad because of the way it's been processed (fermented? I think?). You are definitely making progress, just look at a single part and compare photos (great photos btw, good idea to take them like that). Under the boobs, folds on the sides, new curves, whatever. You look great

                • Tofu isn't fermented. Can't believe I used to like that stuff.

                              Thanks Colby!

                              Honestly? In a word. Random.
I try to go by feel and listen to what my body wants. I do tabata sprints on my stationary bike once a weekish. Random pull ups whenever I pass the doorway where my pull up bar is. A 3-4 mile run about once a week- throwing a good hard sprint in there sometimes. PEMs- usually with added weight to squats and dead lifts once or twice a week. I love yoga, so I usually end up doing sun salutations and practicing arm balance poses almost daily. I play a lot- wrestle and toss around my kids. Go for walks (which often turn into carries) with the munchkins, pedal on my recumbent stationary bike while I read sometimes. Since going primal my energy has increased and I just move when I feel like I need to- which usually has me doing push ups, pull ups or handstands every hour. I take my kids outside to play in the sun often. Like I said- completely random! Some days I just sit around on my tush and make sure the kids are fed. I have upped the running a bit recently as I'm gearing up for some relay and mud races this summer.
