Barefooter you are amazing! And yes, posting these pics to help inspire those who look for solace here was a truly wonderful thing. Thank you for the sharing of your success. I am inspired by you. You go girl!!! I'm 83kg (180 pounds) and hope to post my own success here one day too.
One thing I have learnt from reading the PB book, is not be freak out if I miss a meal. CV says you have to keep eating to keep your metabolism firing. But Mark is right is saying it doesn't make evolutionary sence for the human to eat his own muscle and have no energy if there is a day with out eating.. Infact, one has more energy.. probaby to keep gathering and hunting for food. More importantly, I've overcome a fear of fasting by understanding it intellectually thanks to Marks book.
Thanks for all the congrats, y'all. You know how people say "it's all about the journey" meaning that some people make it about the goal? Well, it's been my experience that there is no goal. It's all journey: all the way up, down and sideways.
do you have a link to the recipe for those nut bars??
That recipe is in the PB Cookbook (pp. 196-197) -- it's a bunch of nuts (almonds, pecans, hazelnuts) with shredded coconut, flax meal, almond butter, salt, molasses and coconut oil. I added dried figs, diced and some dark chocolate, chopped. Mine didn't do well in just the fridge, but hold together nicely if kept in the freezer.
Sweet Mary Barefooter! You're freakin gorgeous!! One of the best transformations to date!
I consistently look back at this thread for motivation when I'm having a rough day (still finding it hard to shed my "emotional eating" tendencies sometimes, particularly during high-stress at work/home). Looking at the success of everyone who's posted is so inspiring...I just can't thank you all enough for sharing! So motivational!

You made me smile with this barefooter. The transformation of your body is phenomenol...the transformation of your mind and attitude as stated above is outstanding! It is all about the journey. Carry that with you in life...in all aspects of your life...and you will feel happy and successful everyday. I am so excited for you. Enjoy the rest of your journey. I look forward to seeing you on down the road.
Good job, barefooter! That is an amazing transformation. WOW.
I'd also like to just give a big shout out to everyone in this thread. It's almost hard to say good work to everyone when I don't check in on this thread for a while... don't want to give someone a comment and make someone who might have posted since feel bad that maybe I didn't think their change was "as good".
This thread is full of pretty amazing changes. I love checking back in here.
