  • Epic photo Feanor, epic! Keep at it and a size 40 is within the realm of possibility!
Sometimes you need to be told the truth in order to be able to see it.

    Exist in shadow, drifting away.

    • Right on, Feanor! Trust me, you will be glad you took that picture. I was too ashamed and skeptical to take a good before pic of myself... now I wish I had. These days, when I see pictures like yours, all I see is a big block of marble ready for the chisel. Enjoy your transformation through eating wonderful foods. We'll be looking forward to your first set of progress pics!

IniQuity, man, I feel you. Shortly after I wrote that post, I went out with my hammer, thinking I'll just do a couple easy stretches to loosen my back. Next thing I know I'm practicing intense defensive routines. When the lunch break came around and I was tempted to go for a walk on stiff legs, I forced myself just to take a nap in the sun. That turned out to be a much wiser choice.

      • Feanor you rock. Ok if you can do it I can do it...
Here is my day 1 pic, big belly and all...taken in September of 2009.
I was working out like crazy, lifting, running etc and yet I still struggled with my stomach fat.
My weight loss has been slow (4 pounds), but I've lost more inches than pounds.
Here I was thinking PB wasn't working for me but this thread made me dig up my before pics.
Perhaps in my obsession to take my body where it doesn't want to go(6 pack please ) I lost sight of where I started.
The second pic is from 04/29/10
        (excuse the packing mess)

I can't view your attachments, if you have them uploaded somewhere post the links.

            • Maybe they need to be screened by a moderator or admin to make sure they're not viruses or something..

              • That and making sure they are "appropriate"...maybe there's an age limit to posting bikini pics.

                  • Feanor, we're in the same boat.

I'll repost my start pics, and the one month later (tomorrow is the 30 days).

If I look in the mirror I don't see much difference, but my clothes are looser.

                    • Thanks for all the kind comments, and I'm sure I make some of the hard gaining females on this board jealous with my incredible rack, haha. All I want to do is get back to being fairly jacked and not having a monster truck tire around my midsection.

It's kind of funny, I arrived at the decision go to low carb/primal after finding out how much I love cooking with good ingredients - it's like cheating to use sugar and starch to make food tasty, and I'm really enjoying the challenge of getting all the flavor possible out of brussel sprouts and spinach.

                      • Just finished the April Challenge that some of us were doing, figured it was finally time to post something like this... I would say it's more of a "Before and During" because I still have a bit to go : )

We just have to wait for the mods to screen it. Then it will work.

Here's mine. First is the end of 2009, second is today, so basically 4 months. I quit drinking as of New Year's Day, and was on more of a conventional nutrition program for the first month or so, and following the PB pretty much 95% for the last 3. I wasn't good about before and after measurements, but I'm down 28 pounds and I definitely have to buy some new jeans. I've had to pack away LOTS of clothes lately.

Started 5'10" 201 lbs, currently 173 lbs. Thinking I'll keep going like this until I'm 165, then shift my focus to strength a bit more and muscle up a little.

Excuse the crappy pictures. And yeah, I'm flexing a bit in the second, it's kind of hard not to when I can actually see a bit of abs now. heh

                              Nothing wrong with flexing!
                              Tremendous improvement! Well done!
