The first day of spring has begun with a grey sky, a computer issue, and a renewed enthusiasm for my primal lifestyle. I am gonna beat this plateau thing - so today is the day to begin. Yesterday i mucked about with the calculator and today I just might be understanding it a little better.
Calfs pusey bottom all cleared up, and still no baby lambs ! What is the go girls ?
Maybe I should take them for a run with me ?
We now have 5 ducks hanging around the property, Not sure how this will pan out come duck shooting season next year ???? !!!!
Anyway off to create a food diary

Good morning Gwamma, good luck with your renewed efforts to break through your plateau. I am sorry that you do not get the family support that you could do with, it's amazing how hard it is for others to grasp the concepts behind primal. They make so much sense to me, but it's really hard to explain them other people in a logical way before they zone out. Especially those closest to us.

However, I do agree it is so true they will eat the food if we cook it!!!! Leftovers for breakfast used to be my domain, but I can see the day coming when I will have to get up earlier if I don't want to miss out. Either that, or make sure to cook double in the evenings.

Anyway, have a great and healthy spring day. A.

No lambs yet. This is very frustrating for this old Gwamma, who loves to get in and help if all turns to custard.... having said that its best when the births are all natural !

Well another lovely day coming to an end. Day 1 of adjusting my fat/protein/carb ratios. Feel great, especially finding fitday ! Much easier to adjust macros on a computer.
Yesterday was meant to be day 1, but turned a wee bit custard like towards the end, so another beginning !
I shall give this 70gm fat/52gm carb/140gm protein split a full week to see if it works for me. Thats working on a 1400 Calorie regime, not taking into account exersize. I am hoping it will kick start my loss again
          Anyways onwards towards skinnywards !!!!

Here's hoping it will work beyond your wildest dreams - all that calculating sounds a bit complex for me. Would you post a menu plan so I can see how that works out in practice?

              eggs x 2 154 Cal 11 F 1 C 13 P
              salmon x 200gm 234 Cal 9 F 0 C 37 P

this gives me a little bit to play with at the end of the day.
I have prepared most of todays food already, but haven't eaten any as yet. Am off for a fasting Blood test soon - so that will be interesting to see if they have changed after all this extra fat that I have been consuming !
anyway we shall see. I will keep you posted

Thanks for obliging me, it is interesting, especially since I have never analysed my meals to this degree.

At a glance it looks like it certainly should work for weight loss. I do have to admit it also looks a tad boring and I would wonder how long one could keep it up. But hey, if it works, that would be a price worth paying.

All the best for your blood test, it will be intriguing to observe any changes.

Annie, I agree about the boring bit, but am prepared to give it a go for I week, and if changes occur, then i shall spice it up a little.
                  we shall see ......

Well today has dawned a bit dull, but its not raining, so a little gardening is in order ! I have planted 13 chatham island lillies, and also 3 blueberry plants. I cannot wait to eat blueberries straight off the vine.
Found a dead calf this morning. That was a bit sad. Not the boil on the bottom one, another that has had a nasty bloody scour for a few days. He was a cute little fella, but these things happen. I also found a poor wee sheep caught in the flexinet. Took a bit to free his head....but thank goodness the fence didn't have an electric current running through it !!!!!! Cos then I would have had two dead animals to deal with !!!
My revamped, calorie counting, ratio controlled, eating plan is doing ok. There was a small decrease on the scale this am. So I might just stick with this one!
Lamb roast tonight for dinner. I thought that maybe some sweet potato chips might keep the whanau happy. I will have 1, if my carbs aren't too high LOL.
anyways off to boil, mash and salt my eggs.
                    be good, x

Absolutely, yes. A very primal opportunity coming your way, don't turn it down. Walk it, why not? Only run if you want to, I wouldn't.

First baby lambs this morning. How exciting, and cute, and then they become even cuter, and then they grow up and then ....... yep we do the caveman thing (humanely - of course )
The scale is reducing !!!!!!!!! so I am thinking that this revamped ratio equation is actually working ???!!!!
lets give it until the end of the week !
Horrendous high winds overnight, and they haven't abated this morning. It will be fun when I am on the tractor mowing the lawn - NOT, however it must be done. The spring growth has been huge !
                          Have the best day

                            Wow, interesting results !!!!!
had my bloods done on monday - fasting cholesterol
                            May 2011 LDL 2.7 trig 1.1 HDL .57 overall 4.8
                            Sept 2012 LDL 2.3 trig 0.6 HDL 1.87 overall 4.4

All of my readings have improved. The only difference has been the huge amount of fat that I have eaten.
My weight was quite similar both readings.

I love these self experiments !!!!
