  • Is deli meat primal?

I was in a hurry trying to get to work today and nabbed some packaged chicken and turkey.

    I think you'll probably survive!

Most of the time I will always advocate organic meat or failing that the cleanest meat you can find with no additives and preferably no hormones or antibiotics. But I wouldn't have a panic attack over it. You're not some sissy toxiphobe who drinks 2 gallons of lemon water a day and pisses themselves at the thought of a conventionally grown tomato. You're a well-nourished and strong individual with powerful organs and a badass immune system.

Stabbing conventional wisdom in its face.

Stop right there. The Primal Blueprint isn't a religion. Eat as cleanly as you can. Forgive yourself when you don't.

You lousy kids! Get off my savannah!

If I must eat something less than optimal, I'm going to go with the tiny amount of "toxins" that my body can easily handle rather than freak it out with a blast of carbs.
