    Looks like it might be wiser to have 3 smaller meals than two big ones for women, for better sleep and for cycle regulation. When I IF it's not on purpose, its because I'm not hungry. I've heard of women having two big meals and then like a snack at lunchtime, like a small salad or some nuts and that being enough. Sleep was often been difficult for me, so can't hurt to focus on more meals.

    I have read of IF working for women, so again remember! People are different!

    • Oh! I made banana "ice cream" today! I cut up and froze two bananas and blended them with a glob (1-2 tbsp) of cashew butter. HEAVEN!

          • I'm all bloated, MDA Friends! AFTER my TOM, during and before which I barely bloated at all. What did I have yesterday that was out of the ordinary?

            Alia Yukon Gold Fries and organic no-sugar ketchup.

            Potatoes. And tomatoes. My stomach did feel bloated and kind of twisty afterwards.

            Thus begins my nightshade elimination diet. I did used to eat chips and salsa until I was about to burst. Tomato addictive bingeing? I usually only ever have sweet potato fries with mayo.

            Since I upped my carb intake, my skin has gotten dry and flaky, and I've gotten dandruff, all if which tells me that I'm feeding candida. . Back off the carbs.

            I'm getting sick of my turkey burgers, which is a shame, since they're cheap.

            Also, I really like to be alone. I find that if I don't get enough alone time, I stay up all night so I have it. As I have always done. In NYC, I'd go to bed super early and wake up super early and have alone time then, but now I am staying with family to get back on my feet after helping my brother out with his cancer journey (Hey Self! What a great idea, move somewhere with NO JOBS where you have no interest in living!) and my mom gets up at 5am, so instead of getting up early I stay up late in order to be alone.

            My mom has bad arthritis and high blood pressure, and she's been in so much pain recently. She's on a low fat vegetarian diet for her health, and the only time I've brought up Paleo she tells me that her doctor told her NO FATS (not even coconut oil or avocados) and she lost weight eating vegetarian, so I just keep my mouth shut. It makes me sad though, to watch her be in so much pain. She eats more eggs since I've been around (I could go through 5 doz. a week), and she'll have a bit of chicken or grassfed burgers if I cook them. Paleo temptress, I am!

            My mom was saying that the Lakota used to be some of the tallest people on the planet, and they ate mostly meat. I'm half-Lakota.

            I think I might copy MamaGrok's mode of keeping track of her Leptin Reset.

            • I had a gluten-free peanut butter chocolate chip cookie and a gluten-free scone for breakfast because I'm sleep-deprived and craving carbs. Now my skin is all itchy. Damn you, gluten-free flour and/or peanut butter.

              I'm in a really bad mood today. I don't want to be around anyone.

              • I got OJ, cream of tartar, and Himalayan salt for adrenal fatigue. I remember taking this last year. Wonder if it will help me get to sleep earlier.

                          Thank you for this. I'm trying apricot mango juice with sea salt tonight. I find oj too sweet and I had the other juice in the house.

                          • Yeah. I think a friend of mine would have lemon water with Himalayan salt in the morning instead of coffee. She said it gave her a ton of energy. I think it's the Vitamin C and mineral combo.

                            • Well, I just ate a ton of pumpkin bread. WHEAT FLOUR PUMPKIN BREAD. I have PTSD from my work situation from last year. When I try to sleep, my mind is like, hey, remember those things you don't like to remember! Here they are all in flashback movie form! Hooray!

                              And then I go face-first into pumpkin bread.

                              Trying OA, again.

                              It's so easy for me to be breezing along on a Leptin Reset, being all, see, I don't need OA, this shit works! Then something f'd up happens, and I'm eating wheat, dairy, and sugar again, just to stay even.

                              • Hate to hear you're suffering from PTSD and things that trigger it. I hope you're able to work through everything eventually so that you don't resort to foods that end up hurting you.
