This is me today, sunburned from a long bike ride around Marin. I followed the PB 85-90% ffrom July of last year to the end of last year, and now follow it religiously. Currently I am back on Warrior Diet principles for the past week, and two days into a "no fruit/no nuts" 30-day challenge.

    • See my avatar. I did in 2003 with a modified low carb/Adkins diet and traditional 3 day split of 1) Chest/shoulders/triceps, 2) Back/legs/biceps and 3) Chest/shoulders/triceps. Typically, MWF for strength training. Tuesday and Thursday were HIIT Body-for-Life style. Saturday was mountain biking for a couple of hours on dirt trails.

Bodyfat was between 6 and 8% I got different readings depending on which trainer took the measurements.

Honestly, I felt like crap most of the time and got sick quite often. Primal Blueprint is a much more sensible and sustainable approach. I have only been doing it for 2 months and I am ~80% primal. I feel better following Primal Blueprint and really listen to my body more. Before, I would push through injury, but now I find myself stopping short of injuring myself. I focus more on each and every repetition rather than racking up total rep counts. I even reduce weight if my form is wrong. I am excited to post new pictures in June, when I finish my goal training period of getting back to 8% bodyfat with a 32 inch waist. I am 5'11" and currently weigh 187lbs with a 36 inch waist. In 2003, my waist was 29-30 inches depending on the day.

      • I started out at 194 lbs at 6 fott so I looked bigger then I actually was. After 4 weeks I have dropped down to 183 lbs and I am really focusing on putting lean muscle mass now. Am I ripped? Not disgustingly but my definition has definitiely gotten better. I am focusing more on lifting heavier things and more sprinting. I walk about 6 hours a week during ym lunch break and on the weekdns with the wife and kid. I just try to stay as busy as posisble and make nearly everything into a mini-workout. My goal is to look like Mark by my Beach trip in July but I may get there sooner hopefully.
Today is a new day. You will get out of it just what you put into it. If you have made mistakes, there is always another chance for you. And supposing you have tried and failed again and again, you may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing we call 'Failure' is not the falling down, but the staying down.

                  • 154lbs ~8% BF, 2 months 100% Primal. have always been pretty lean, but not defined like this. Have been lifting on and off for a couple years. Been hitting it hard since the new year. Progress and results are good so far (at least I am happy with them!)

                    • Wow! Awesome pics !!! I'm trying to get my hubby into PB. These pics might just do it. He already packs tons of muscle with no real effort eating tons of garbage food. I'm thinking it must be awesome to be a giant with his metabolism! These pics of you guys abs might just do the trick!!!

I have a long way to go until I am ready to post pics unless I post a pic from a few years ago on VLC. I had great abs. Now they are covered with blubber!

                        • Thanks for the great pics!! This has always been one of my favorite topics on the forums. I love seeing images of my brothers Grok and sisters Prima. Every one of us gets fit in his or her own distinctive way.

I finally have something to contribute. Here is my ripped, Grok back. Six-pack still under construction.

                              • No, but then again, I don't want the female bodybuilder look. All I'm aiming for (and I may even decide not to go that far when I hit a point I like) is the line of definition down the middle of the stomach. Think swimsuit model. I may not be able to reach that without giving up my chocolate or berries with cream, which means it may not happen. But as of right now, on a lean day with plenty of sleep, I can see a hint of that line at the top of my abs if I suck in. I do have the side definition if I tense my abs, but I still have a little lower belly flab to get rid of before I'm ready to say "I'm done." I still have all my curves (more so, actually, than ever) and womanly padding. My legs have always been a point of pride and even they're getting better. Sorry, no photos. Maybe later if I think of it.
