  • Blogging?

I notice that many here have their own blogs.

I would like to start a blog to document my journey to optimal health. Perhaps also as a way of updating far away family and friends. Maybe meet new people or possibly to help others along a similar journey.

What are the advantages/disadvantages of Blogger vs. WordPress or other free hosting service.

I run linux (Ubuntu) OS and use Firefox browser if that makes any difference?

i recommend wordpress 100x over blogger. Blogger just frustrated me when I tried to use it - wordpress is far more customizable and just better. hehe.

I use Blogger and it is OK. There are lots of help sites on the web to help you customize it such as add tabs, etc. I wish I had started with Wordpress though, since I have heard since that it is easier to use.

          Self hosted Wordpress > Blogger > Wordpress.com.

Wordpress.com doesn't allow much opportunity for customisation or advertising, whereas Blogger does. But hosting your own Wordpress puts you in control and gives you as much customisation opportunity as you're ever going to need. It does require paying for hosting and keeping it up to date yourself though.

I'm starting a blog soon too. Not a Primal blog, more just a personal blog, but I'll certainly cover Primal stuff in it. It'll be based on my own custom blogging system. No idea when I'll launch it, don't have much free time right now.
