  • I went out to dinner with friends and one of them noticed that my clothes were almost falling off since the last time she saw me. Oh, boo hoo!!

It's just too bad I don't like shopping, 'cause replacing things could be fun. So far, though, I'm just reveling in things that used to be mildly uncomfortable feeling rather floppy.

Goals: Feel good, be stronger, and hopefully kick that arthritis in the backside! Oh, yeah, and losing more weight would be okay, too.

I bet there's someone in your area who'd be willing to adjust a waistband or two in exchange for you cooking dinner.

My wife and I dropped a combined total of 75 or 80 pounds living in Taiwan for a year. She's not as tall as you, but she's got hips, and had the damndest time finding clothes that fit.

        • Damn. If it weren't practically impossible to tailor by mail, I'd start a mail- order primal tailoring service and get rich over night.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, steak in one hand, chocolate in the other, yelling "Holy F***, What a Ride!"

          • Along the same vein, it frustrates me that you can buy 2 pair of shorts, same size. One is a bit too big, one marginally too small. <sigh>

Even if it was possible, how often would the same clothes come right back because by the time the post office delivered them they were wrong again?

This is true, but I was figuring more on the "so close to goal it's not even funny" crowd. The "dropping weight like a hot brick" crowd is a moot point for mail order tailoring, as there tends to be a certain turn around time even for neighborhood tailors.

                • My frustration today is that my dear sweet youngest son sat on my lap eating popcorn and I just simply didn't want it. Previously my favorite nighttime snack. WTH?

                  • I have to go out and buy new bras and panties because I am dropping weight like a hot stone and NONE of my underwear fits! :P

Fortunately I did find some super cute boy shorts at walmart for $6/2 pairs - have to buy more this weekend!

Im a big fan of the target "underwear bins." theyre about $4-5 a pair, but they have all sorts of different styles and colors (SO MANY COLORS!) Although, I too just realized that I am down to size 6/medium underwear for the first time in my ADULT LIFE, which means i need to replace ALL my underwear as well x( So many pretty ones that I cant get anymore....

I will have to try that when I do my monthly shopping on Wednesday - nearest Target is 1+ hour away nearest anything is 45min away

I realized this morning that my "regular" bras are too big, but my "skinny" bras are still too small. I need someting in between, so I think I will hit the clearance stuff at Walmar/Target/Lane Bryant to bridge the gap for a bit

                          • Actually threw out some panties and tried on those "sexy but uncomfortable 'cause they ride up" ones lurking in the back of the drawer...they fit and feel fine now. Damn... no excuse to go shopping.

--WAIT! Only one of my bras is fitting correctly! I've gone from a 42DD to a 38D/DD (depending on 'style') ~ guess I have to hit the friggin' store fer new keepsemfromjigglins.

Goal 160 lbs -- last time there was in junior high!

                            • Speaking of underwear, DO they make boxer shorts for women?

I'm probably not the right size yet to find any that would fit me properly, but I'll be in the market for some next year. Surely they make such objects. Also, sock garters. Please?

                              • Other gripe --

I really wish I'd measured myself when starting all this 7 months ago other than just weighing. I haven't lost more than 5 lbs in the last 2 months, but all of my pants are massively loose around hips, butt, and even my calves!

I want to KNOW and be able to brag in good solid inches....grrr.
