People with broken brains/mental disease need to treat our problems like a gastrointestinal disorder.

Ride a ketogenic diet all day, every day, and take lots of good probiotics. Your adhd will never see it coming.

• Since going primal, Weekend Brunch is totally ruined for me.
I'm in brooklyn and have experienced the exact same thing (this morning, even). can't even tell you how many burgers i've had for brunch.

I would say the energy that's bounding around inside you right now will become more focused. And it'll be AWESOME!

• I can tell it will be frustrating being at work sometimes because often we get fed at work and it's always something like pizza or some carb over load. I read somewhere that being on a diet the hardest part isn't watching what you eat but watching what other people eat

• Seeing something really cute over across the aisle in the plus size section, but there being nothing like it over in normies.

O, the irony!

Respectfully, it depends. Some ADHD is really affected by diet, some is not. My DD has ADHD, diet has done nothing for this, she has to be on meds to focus. However, some people have seen their symptoms improve.

What am I doing? Depends on the day.

What I've found is that I'm not that hungry come lunch time. A good paleo breakfast (eggs, bacon, etc) really fills me up. I think, if I worked outside the home, I'd be able to say 'no thank you' to whatever food is lying around.

• Having shrunk from a size 16/XL to somewhere around 10/M, none of my clothes fit anymore. I have one turtleneck and two pairs of jeans that are only one size too big, and that's it. Even my underwear are too big! And of course I can't pull out old skinny clothes to wear because I had never been this size.

This is really only a frustration because I've been unemployed, and couldn't afford to replace anything. That's been fixed, though, so now my frustration is that I'm going to have to go through the hassle of shopping for an entirely new wardrobe and try to attempt fashion this time. At least now I'll have a higher chance of finding clothes that actually fit me!

• My sister, mother and I are all having the same frustrations re the looseness of clothes. It seems that each time I buy a new outfit it gets too loose on me. Actually, I am the closest to my goals on this journy so my sis and mom tend to get some of my clothes but cause we're built differently, it difficult to pass on all of them.

The lovely outfits that I hadn't worn in 10 years, when I was at my thinnest, are also now becoming too loose on me.

The worst though is shoes. I dropped from a size 6 to a size 5 in shoe size and am praying to God I don't lose any more weight on my feet cause I don't think women's sizes come in under 5.

Still, these "frustrations" are much better to have than the previous frustrations of not fitting into anything cute cause you're too big. For the first time in my life, I bought designer jeans (on sale). When I was trying out different brands in size 6/4 everything fit. I've never had such a pleasant jeans buying experience in my life.

Baby if you time travel back far enough you can avoid that work because the dust won't be there. You're too pretty to be working that hard.
lol

• That my small cast iron pot of hamburger soup (1/2 lb ground beef, 1/4 lb pork sausage, diced green peppers, onions, bone broth, seasonings) has lasted for 3 whole days ~~ and it gets better the longer it sits on the stove top turned to very low heat, ready to scoop out a bowlful any time we're ready. The quantity used to be (not quite) enough for one meal for the spousal unit, DS and I!

Warm and filling for these snowy days... totally replaces the old cold weather 'comfort' foods of our SAD days!
Started 7/5/11 at 274 lbs
Now 214 -- that's 60 lbs!
Goal 160 lbs -- last time there was in junior high!
