Nice! Congrats!! Thats the same sort of weight change ive been dealing with. I started at 178 June first and am slowly creeping down to the 150 mark (152.5 the last week or so). But you obviously have a head start on me

    • My personal triumph is moving AWAY from the scale and enjoying the visual fat loss. I already need a new notch in my belt.

Oh yeah, and that whole mental clarity thing is cool.

wow 50 pounds in about 3 months that is awesome!
I'm too stubborn to give up so I keep on trying.

          • Signed up for an 8-week fitness challenge at my boyfriend's gym. Have gotten up two days in a row at 5:15am to make it there by 6am... and today, I came home, showered, and rode my bike to work. Woot! Gonna be sore tomorrow, lol. Also, I finally learned how to do a proper pushup. Now to work on doing it from the toes instead of the knees.

            • While at the doctor's office this morning the nurse asked my age. She seriously thought I was in my 20s (I am 44). I've always looked younger than I am, but recently someone else commented on my weight loss and said that I was not just looking slimmer, but younger as well. I expect I'll look like a teenager by the time I've lost all I want to lose.

                • I went to the foot dr today for a 3 and 4 month follow up on the foot surgery's I had this summer (left and right feet). The nurse said, "ummm did you get your hair done? " I said no. She kept staring and said," you are just glowing! I can not explain it any other way." I said, "well, I changed the way I eat back in August. No grains, no sugar and no legumes. Maybe its just good health?" She was non-commital but said again, "you look great! well you are just glowing!"

best compliment I have had in a while!

                  • The more I've been reading and learning about cooking (especially meat cooking) the more I've been transitioning to cast-iron cookware. Today, I hauled out my new big 12 inch skillet and realized that I was hooking my meal AND getting a decent arm workout all in one!

                    • Just finished my first eight weeks of being primal and I'm down 30 lbs. Feel great and I'm not even really tempted by bread, candy etc... Just feeling good all the way around. I'm actually not even trying hard anymore, just living, eating and playing. If I feel inflammation I take some extra fish oil. I've eaten a lot of different things lately so my body kind of knows what foods have what it needs and so if I need something I just get hungry for it. And then i eat it. Pretty simple really.

                      • Something weird about Wednsdays

Midmorning every Wednsday I go to the restroom and when I come out, without thinking about it, my belt is one more notch in.
                        6 holes in 6 weeks!

                            • So I've posted a similar triumph, but it feels sooo good!...
A site that I frequent for clothes had it's clearance shorts and capris on sale, so shorts for $8 and capris $10, I bought a bunch. All sales final. I bought the size 14s, expecting them to be tiiiiiight, nope, slid them right on! My husband said "you should have gotten smaller, cuz at the rate your losing, they'll be falling off by spring" *blush* That's high praise coming from him. I did leave the tags on so if I have to, can sell on eBay or at consignment. I packed up all my size 20 shorts/capris to go to consignment, gawd it was awesome to say goodbye to those!
Also bought a pair of size Large pajama pants, they fit perfectly. I used to be size 2X

                              • In CrossFit for my third class, we had to do box jumps. Sure, mine was a wee box, but it still came up to at least my knees. I was able to do three sets of 10 box jumps (and a shitload of other things too), which shocked the hell out of me. Slowly but surely, getting fitter!
