  • Huh. Four sets of two full headstand pushups (not handstand pushups, that involves hands going to the shoulders) this evening. They weren't free-standing (can't pull off a free-standing handstand yet), but it's a nice little benchmark strength-wise.
    Are you a college student, trying to navigate college while being Primal? Do you know any other PB college students on a tight budget? Heck, for that matter, are YOU trying to live Primal on a budget? Enroll at Primal University!

        • I fell down a slope on Monday and managed to get up with only one person bracing me, just like any normal person, despite my bad knees and my weight. But you should see my arm... road burn like whoa.
          Primal eating in a nutshell: If you are hungry, eat Primal food until you are satisfied (not stuffed). Then stop. Wait until you're hungry again. Repeat.

          • Today I did an 80kg deadlift!! That's five more than I weigh and a PB. 2 weeks ago I could only do 70

              • i just thought why not give a sprint a try. so sprinted to the end of my block and back....I just fucking sprinted to the end of my block and back. OMFG at 360 I just sprinted I have not run since Highschool.

                • I lost 14lbs of body fat since December! Which means that it's aaaaaall primal's fault.

                  But by weight, I only lost 9 lbs...

                  SO, I gained 5lbs of muscle by not exercising. The only thing I changed was saying FU to all stairs and escalators. I'm a college student, so there is a bit of walking across campus, and climbing the huge library to the fifth floor once a week. But I didn't think that could cause so much muscle gain.

                  Now to only get some courage to go to the free (ish) Crossfit gym on my campus.

                    • That amazing feeling when cutting toenails means bending over and doing the job, not twisting into a pretzel to get at them over my tummy. Lol.

                      • I went shopping yesterday for size 8s to replace my 10s that are all baggy. I haven't been in single digit pants since high school. And I got a pair of white jeans. (Guys probably won't understand this but the ladies know what I mean). When you are heavy, you spend all your time trying to camouflage it and wearing dark colors. Buying a pair of size 8 white jeans was such a rush.

                        • I brought my bike out for the first time in a year. I can no longer feel my legs, but it was so. SO worth it.

                          • I have to take in my yoga pants because they now fall around my ass!
                            I also got refitted for a bra because they kept shifting and the straps kept falling off..turns out i went down from a 38C to 36C!

                            • Went to Vegas for 3.5 days and didn't gain a pound! Managed to keep 80% Primal (I had creme brulee, and fries cooked in duck fat one night, but kept grain-free), and I walked all over the place.

                              • Totally not about Primal, but still a triumph: I passed my oral dissertation prospectus defense today. I'm now ABD and only one step away from my Ph.D. (a big step, but still!).
