Using low lectin/nightshade free primal to control autoimmune arthritis. (And lost 50 lbs along the way )

      • Ran an errand for someone, buying birthday cake for a group of 30. Ate my slice and enjoyed it. Spent much of the afternoon working in the kitchen where the leftover cake sat on a plate waiting for staff to finish it. I thought about it, looked at it, thought 'I wouldn't enjoy that,' and didn't eat it. For me, this counts as a small triumph.

        • Finally returned to primal eating yesterday. Had an 8 month downward spiral which has put me at 180lbs and as unhealthy as can be.

Since eating primally yesterday and today, I feel like a whole new person. LOVE this, and am befuddled as to why I went off of it? Frickin rights.

I am back, and my boots are back on.

Primal eating in a nutshell: If you are hungry, eat Primal food until you are satisfied (not stuffed). Then stop. Wait until you're hungry again. Repeat.

              • I can now wear a size 12 in my preferred brand of jeans (in others with more vanity sizing i can wear an 8 or even a 6 ), and even the size 10, if a little too snugly.

And I can wear a bra with a 34 band size without it digging uncomfortable into my skin!

                      • I decided to do the PBF self assessment. I have been LHT once or twice a week this last month, but wasn't expecting great results, and when I did the wall squat test, I squatted 75 times then started to lose count and stopped, which is at least 40 more squats than I was expecting to be able to do!

                              • Okay - this will sound silly but I'm sure we all have some of the - "I'm too busy (spelled lazy) to ..." excuses. Well yesturday I walked my ecstatic dog and 3 yr old around the block. I usually put it off and then don't get to it for blah blah blah reasons. Years ago (and >50lbs bigger) when taking this walk I often stopped half way to rest (it's kinda hilly) but this time it was so easy. Such a simple thing but so glad I've started again - the dog and kid loved it - so much better than leaving him watching TV while I got some stupid chore done. New motto "Leave the mess - go take a walk"!
