Thanks you! BUT, I'm waiting for the "after." I'm still not satisfied, and I know I will look better in a few months. I was just excited about my thighs not touching and my abs sorta showing

        • 3 triumphs
          1. I stood my ground for my rights! This feels good, even though it means a setback.
          2. I finally cracked the 60kg barrier. Thursday my weight was 59,7kg. Wohooo. Red dress here I come.
          3. A paradigm shift happened this week. Now when I'm under severe mental stress I don't binge on sweets anymore! Instead I can't seem to touch/eat any food, just the thought of putting bites of food (any kind of food) in my mouth is obnoxious to me. Mind you, this was definitely no goal of mine, in fact this had me worried. But thankfully I'm back to eating normal Paleo/Primal food since yesterday. *relieved sigh*

          • I made it a year on Primal. Lost nearly 20 lb (I didn't have much to lose to begin with,) kicked my suicidal depression to the curb, got my thyroid under control, got a defined stomach (still working on my linea alba), kicked some emotional stuff (not PB related), gained more endurance and speed and muscle mass, gained, not one, but 2 assloads of confidence, and learned more about how MY body works than I though possible.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, steak in one hand, chocolate in the other, yelling "Holy F***, What a Ride!"

Unless I am mistaken, I believe that means you have cured your insulin resistance. Very awesome! You are saving your own life

              • When I started primal I was a 38 inch waist with a 17.5" neck so I often wore XL shirts. Just over two months later I bought some new jeans and I was down to a 34" inch waist and buying a L shirt. Today, I had a $50 gift certificate to use at a clothing store. One month after my last clothing purchase I'm down to a 32" waist in my jeans (first time since college - in fact my wife likes to tell a story about how her friend laughed that I was still wearing my way too tight 32" inch jeans in college - suck on that!) and my shirt size is down to a M!! And I just came home last night from a 4 day business trip where I would normally gain weight and feel bloated.

                I love this life style!

                • I can't even fathom being under square. That would be a 29-inch waist for me.

My husband will probably never be under square. He wears a 42x30 right now about to drop to a 40x30. If he got under square, he would just look odd.

                      • here's a triumph:

yesterday spent the day out on South Padre Island. usually, a day at the beach or any nice vacation spot (vegas for example) would make me want to throw my diet habits away and eat/drink whatever. well, i went to my primal go-to meal: order fajitas, eat just the meat, grilled peppers and onions and sub the rice and beans for vegetables. I did have 2 miller lites, but much better than what I used to have at this place: 3-4 super sugary $1.25 margaritas, nachos, burger/fries.

Walked out of there feeling awesome... not bloated, full, tired. THIS IS FOR THE PEOPLE WHO THINK EATING PRIMAL OUT WITH FRIENDS IS IMPOSSIBLE!

Me too. I think that that's unrealistic for those of us who are both short and stocky.
Primal eating in a nutshell: If you are hungry, eat Primal food until you are satisfied (not stuffed). Then stop. Wait until you're hungry again. Repeat.
