  • Old pants, new fit!

I've been primal since January, with a bit of an excursion off the path in February and a recommitment this month. Today I tried on a pair of size 4 jeans that have been languishing in my dresser. I haven't been able to pull them up over my hips and today they fit, zipped and are actually comfortable enough to wear all day.

I think the advice to use a pair of clothing to monitor your progress is a great idea. I've lost very little weight (maybe 5 pounds) but I have lost inches. It wasn't until I tried those pants on that I saw how far I've come!

    That's great news! Congratulations.

I've got a pair of Guess jeans circa 1986 with the zip-up ankles (!) that I REFUSE to get rid of until those suckers fit once again. (Yes, they are my "Oprah jeans.") Those damned jeans have been stuffed in the back of closets throughout Texas, South Carolina, back to Texas, California, Oregon, and, now, Washington.... where, God willing, they can finally be laid to rest forever and will be burned to ashes.

Now, my Guess jean jacket, also circa 1986, my friends are under strict instructions that I am to be buried in that thing, no matter what they've got to do to cram me into it.

Isn't that the best feeling?! I bought a pair of AE size 4 at a thrift store the other day for $3, thinking they could be "goal pants" but they actually fit! I was so excited, haha. Unfortunately I lose weight in my lower half first, so even though 4 sounds small, I still have a ways to go.

HA! Well, hopefully these jeans you're now wearing again aren't THAT out of style!
