  • need research articles

    Hi all,

I am writing a paper for uni on low-carb diets (my tutor is vegetarian...). Does not have to be 'primal'. Grain research would be interesting. I have pulled some articles from this site but just wondering if any of you have them on your harddrive or floating around. They do not have to be full-text, citation is fine as I have access to most nutrition journals through the uni.

    Thanks in advance

NZPixie, You can access a huge number of articles from Gary Taubes' book, Good Calories, Bad Calories published in 2007, it's now in paperback edition and he's bringing out a shortened/more condensed lay-person friendly version sometime soon.

Jacky Eberstein has a great website for references. She worked with Atkins so her site is Atkins oriented. She's so interested in the science of low carb and is just a wonderful source. http://www.controlcarb.com/ccn-Research.htm

I love Barry Groves' detailed and methodical approach to new papers: http://www.second-opinions.co.uk/news.html ... you'll find lot's of great references.

Look at the paper before reading Grove's review. I'm sure you'll give your own interpretation of either or both the paper and Groves' review but this may help.

And there are so many more ..... but try these.
