  • Dehydrate Strawberries

I tried the Paleo Kits I read about on the Crossfit forms and loved them.

Does anyone know how to dehydrate strawberries and keep them juicy, instead of dry and crisp?

I'd like to make similar strawberries without adding sugar like the ones in bulk food stores.

    dehydrate <> juicy

    The "Seven Deadly Sins"

    Grains (wheat/rice/oats etc) . . . . . Dairy (milk/yogurt/butter/cheese etc) . . . . . Nightshades (peppers/tomato/eggplant etc)
    Tubers (potato/arrowroot etc) . . . Modernly palatable (cashews/olives etc) . . . Refined foods (salt/sugars etc )
    Legumes (soy/beans/peas etc)

you dont get them dry n crisp if you dehydrate at home in an oven. its the same with fruits too, they are always left a little moist. I usually just set the strawberries on an ovenplate and leave them there at 50 deg C for over night. It is important to have a crack in the oven door so the moisture can get out- i just stick a wooden spoon between the oven n door.
