  • OK....really?

There are literally meat shaped into balls called faggots?

    I thought a cigarette was a fag?

I'm so confused. But they do sound tasty.

I just had 2 cans of tuna with over a small baked tator with homemade mayo, mustard, and seasoning.

We're having Faggots. It's a Brit thing - balls of meat and offal in a good gravy. Veggies alongside. Can't wait!
Confession: I bought 'em (Brains brand) ... and they've got wheat flour in them. Pffff! So I get a B grade ... I'm going to really enjoy them as a treat and not worry about my primal score.

This is what 80/20 is for
Omg I haven't had these for years, didn't realise they still made them! What a yummmmy dinner and yay for the 80/20 rule!

Yes a cigarette is a fag, but these particular meaty Offaly treats are faggots. They are similar in taste to good haggis (which is mutton, offal and oatmeal encased in a stomach)

              • Duck legs cooked low and slow in their own fat. Then I took some of the liquid fat and plumped up some dried cranberries in it and poured it over the legs. So good.

Sounds good! Did you enjoy the taste that tamarind brings? It's useful for "Japanese Curry".

Good to see rice being enjoyed.

                          • We had a traditional British Sunday Dinner.

Turkey breast, sprouts, carrots, peas, cabbage, roast potatoes and parsnips. First one this year ... more to come.
