  • Ground lamb with rice and some leftover tomato sauce from last night's beef shank.

And thanks to this thread, I remembered to put on the rice.

Who says back fat is a bad thing? Maybe on a hairy guy at the beach, but not on a crab.

      • Tonight I was suffering from what J Stanton calls "defrostration" which is when you realize that you have lots of great grass fed meat in the freezer but forgot to take anything out to thaw.

So I had eggs and a spoonful of coconut manna for dessert.

          • I slow-cooked chicken gizzards with onions and celery yesterday, so this and I have strawberry-rhubarb jello left. Watermelon or a plum... or both.

                        It's not exactly primal, but:
                        Rice
                        Shrimp
                        Cucumber
                        Avocado
                        Grated carrot
                        Cut up sheets of nori
Salad dressing of soy sauce (tamari or coconut aminos), sesame oil, honey, wasabi paste, and sometimes bottled sushi seasoning

Basically it's deconstructed sushi in a bowl.

Thanks! Now if I could only convince hubby that shrimp are delicious!

                          • You could put crab or salmon, or anything really!

For hubby, if it tastes like fish or seafood, he won't eat it. I *do* cook fish, but make it in a spicy curry sauce or something like that. I could probably make spicy curry sushi salad...

                              • Tonight we had bacon wrapped pork loin with fresh green beans, zucchini and yellow squash from the farmers market accompanied by a romain & spinach salad with heirloom tomatoes and cucumbers topped with goat cheese. Dessert is hard cheese and blackberries.
