  • Natural Value Coconut Milk

Hey everyone! I'm new to this and glad to be here. I've been eating Paleo for the last month after years of eating.......well, everything. My savior in all of this has been cocnut milk. I don't do dairy right now and this has given me that creaminess in things I've been missing. I have searched all the stores in my area nad can't find Organic, BPA free, Guar gum free, milk anywhere. I looked online and saw Natural Value milk and went ahead and ordered 12 cans. I have been trying to read as much as possible about them, especially on here, so that I don't repeat what has already been discussed, so I apologize if this is issue has been beat to death. I did read an old post on here about them when they did have BPA, and from their website it looks as though they have switched back to the no-gum and no-BPA. My question is, has anyone had experience with this brand??!! There are some reviews on Amazon, which who knows if you can trust, but not anywhere on here. Anyone had this??

I bought my coconut milk at Walmart - it's not organic but the only ingrs. are coconut extract & water. It's a brand imported from Thailand called 'Aroy-D'.

Amazon has Native Forest which is BPA free. You can get 12 cans per month for $21-ish on subscription, I think.

Oooh... it also comes in 96 ounce size!
Native Forest Organic Classic Coconut Milk,96-Ounce: Amazon.com: Grocery & Gourmet Food

Just thought I'd point you toward it since you mentioned "ordered" and "amazon" in your op.

ETA: Coconut cream, even better! Om nom nom!
Native Forest Organic Premium Coconut Cream, Unsweetened, 5.4 Ounce (Pack of 12): Amazon.com: Grocery & Gourmet Food

All Natural Coconut Milk from Thailand, Available Online at ImportFood.com

Not sure how it compares to the WalMart Aroy-D...this is 100% coconut milk

Cool. I will keep those in mind. I should be getting this case in the next few days so I will definitely send out a review when I dive into it!

I've only tried natural coconut milk, I know that it has many benefits and besides, I'm looking for something to replace cows milk as I cut down on eating dairy. At this page you can find some coconut milk nutrition facts. I'm wondering if sore-bought coconut milk tastes the same and as beneficial as natural one, if yes I'm definitely going to try it.

You can also make it yourself. I do a 2:1 ration of hot water to coconut flakes. I let it sit for a little while in the blender before turning it on. Then I put it through a paint straining bag and put the milk in the fridge. My daughter likes this better than the canned. Right now I'm working on drying out the coconut that's left, putting it through the food processor and using it as coconut flour.
