  • Paleo / Primal vesrion of southern style sausage gravy?

    What would you use to replace the flour if making sausage and biscuits with gravy? ( The family will eat the biscuits, not me ).
    Start Date 9.24.12
    Starting weight 285ish ( scale is acting funny so I don't trust it, but 285 is close )
    CW - 271 pounds
    First Goal - 255 by 2013
    Main Goal - To be healthy for my family... I have an awesome family.
    Other Goal - to get off some medications
    Final goal - to get to about 180 pounds by 2014
    NEW GOAL - When I can start a new journal called "Your dad is not so fat!"

    This looks like a good possibility if you're okay with using potato starch:

    Gluten Free Sausage Gravy

    (Of course, I've only ever had sausage gravy at the one restaurant in town that does southern US-style food, so I have no clue what the "real" stuff is like.)

        I havent' tried this yet but it would let you eat the biscuits too

          I've made sausage gravy by cooking sausage and onions, then adding coconut milk, coconut flour, and arrowroot powder.
