I'll be working on ideas and recipes for the holiday season next. Hopefully I'll be able to make some Primal/Paleo 99.999% chocolate tomorrow!

I got some of LiDLís ďFox Tree FarmĒ New Zealand frozen lamb chump chops today. I canít find anything conclusive, but it seems that NZ lamb is almost always grass-fed and with minimum antibiotics and stuff. If thatís the case, this could be a BRILL way of eating decent meat on a budget! You get 9-10 chops per 900g bag, which is 45-50p per chop.

Some Americans had been complaining that this lamb is too strong, but I find it isnít too far from Welsh lamb in taste. Texture-wise I canít decide if I prefer it raw or if itís yummier to cook it until you get ďlamb cracklingĒ on top! Mmm!

I come from a family of sheep and beef farmers in New Zealand - yes our lamb and beef is ALL grass fed and animal medications are kept to a minimum (when actually needed). Yes the taste is stronger - animals raised on grass all year round will have a stronger flavour. Kind of like comparing a hot-house tomato to the super tasty tomato you grew outdoors in your own garden :-)
Sounds like the cost of NZ meat in your part of the world is actually cheaper for you than it is here!
