  • Primal Italian Sodas

So a nice treat to have in the summer is Italian Sodas. Am I right?

    1/2c grass fed cream
    1/2c perrier sparkling water
1/2c fresh berries of your choice (I used raspberries today)

Fill glass with ice. Pour perrier. In separate container, mash cream with berries to release juices. Pour into glass with perrier. Give it a little mix.

    Voila!

    ice cold deliciousness

I have a mug that has stuff in the sides that freezes, so I just put everything in my "magic mug" and mashed up the raspberries in it

I'd recommend a Hawaiian Soda (coconut milk instead of moo juice), but I haven't gotten it to turn out right yet.

I wonder if you could combine my Paleo Chocolate Milk recipe with some perrier...

Just make sure it's sparkling/carbonated water and not mineral water. Mineral just kinda messes up the taste.

also, get yourself a pint of Roselani's Haupia ice cream. I bet it would be killer in the soda! You could have an Italian Hawaiian Float

It's okay, cori, you can do what I do sometimes... just pour cream over ice and flavor it. I won't tell anyone our little 800 calorie secret

Good work, Bork! Still, needs some vodka ...

Co-incidentally, this week, I've had a run on red wine, coconut milk and fizzy water! Not as sick as it sounds. Try it

I've tried coconut milk & fizzy water and it just doesn't jive. If you can figure it out, go for it!

Aw, thanks. Looks like those berries need more mashing though. Your soda isn't pink! :P

Gets pinker as the strawberries melt, but may try the mashing next time. I do admit, the pinker the drink the more delicious it got!

I ran some raspberries through the processor, and made the soda. Awesome!

Side note: I found out that the addition of cream makes it a "French Soda."

I'll give the coconut soda a wack next time.
