  • Any new offal recipes?

I'm pretty new to eating Primal, and would love to incorporate offal into my diet. I'm a pretty adventurous eater and love to try new things, but I can't seem to find any organ recipes besides for the standard "livers and onions". There is an ethnic food store near me that sells a wide variety of offal including livers, hearts, pork uterus, kidneys, gizzards, beef/duck tongue, and beef pizzle(yes...bull penis).

So far I've tried livers and hearts. But all I've done is pan fry them in a little olive oil and onion. Does anyone have any creative and unique recipes that taste good?? Thanks! Also, I'm not sure if this would affect any recipe ingredients...but I do have about 10 pounds to lose..

not really a recipe per se, but this is how I'm loving liver at the moment (I usually find it quite strong and don't appreciate the mouth feel it has). I have some in the freezer and slice it off quite thin. I fry it in ghee till crispy and then add a dollop of creme fraiche and some avocado. This is very nice (oh and I also cooked some blade steak cubes at the same time).

I love gizzards. Here are some recipes I've made with them:

Yeah, definitely. Chicken gizzards are a little less flavorful and have a different form, but the taste and texture are pretty much the same.

Duck does in general taste much better than chicken, when cooked right though, pretty easy to mess it up, but thanks!

Yup If all else fails, you could always just toss it in soup and it'll be delicious all the same.
